As the weekend closes, I’ll share my last update and wrap up for Bout of Books 5.0 read-a-thon. Since Fridays and Saturdays are our family days, I spend as much time reading as I wanted to. Sort of. I enjoyed our family time together. I also got some time to myself and went shopping, though not for books.
Though I didn’t finish reading An Echo Through the Snow, I got to hang out with my friend Sandie of Teen Lit Rocks. We talked books like we always do, and I feared I might have ruined Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead for her.
My goal for Bout of Books was to finish 2 books (my kids’ books don’t count) and meet new to me book bloggers by commenting on their blogs and joining a twitter chat. I didn’t finish 2 books but I did meet a lot of fun people on Twitter and through their blogs. Hi everyone!
Final tally:
Total books read: 1 and 1/2 just for me books, at least 2 kids chapter books
Total pages read: 558
Blogs I left comments on: 21 plus whatever I get to before midnight
Challenges participated: 4
I just got a huge stack of books in to vet as selections for our book club members, so I better get cracking!
